For Heidi Klum, a haus is not a home without her kids.

That's why the Project Runway host wants her and ex Seal's four children—Leni Klum, 21,Henry Samuel, 20,Johan Samuel, 18, andLou Samuel, 15—to be immersed in her German culture, bringing them along to her Bavarian celebration HeidiFest in Munich Sept. 18.

"Celebrating a huge party without friends and family would be pretty boring," she quipped in a German interview with OK! magazine published Sept. 19. "I think something like this is most wonderful when you can celebrate with friends and family, so of course I'm happy that they all came and had fun with me."

"These are my roots—even if I'm not from Bavaria, I'm still German," she continued. "I grew up here, too. And in that respect, I think it's nice for my children to see a bit of my roots."

To make a big family affair, Heidi and her kids were joined by her husbandTom Kaulitz, brother-in-lawBill Kaulitzand momErna Klum. In fact, the supermodel also invited Henry'sgirlfriend Kayla Betulius, as well as Leni's boyfriend Aris Rachevsky.

And everyone was dressed to theme, with the women wearing custom-made dirndls—a traditional dress featuring a lace-up bodice and an apron skirt—by SPORTALM. Meanwhile, the men donned lederhosen with vests and button-up shirts from Spieth & Wensky and Schaber Trachten.

"I think if you don't continue the tradition, the whole thing will die out at some point," Heidi explained. "That's why I didn't choose a dirndl that was super short or glittery from top to toe."

Indeed, Heidi kept things classic in a bright red drindl, which she paired with ruby-colored heels and a flower crown made of roses.

She completed her look with a red, heart-shaped handbag from German fashion house Aigner, which also designed matching ones in black and white for Leni and Lou, respectively.

"I love my Aigner bag," Heidi wrote on Instagram Sept. 19. "And even more, I love that all my guests now have one, too!"
